‘Intelligence is the ability to adapt to change’
Stephen Hawking

Adapting to change quickly and efficiently. We believe this is the only way to live with COVID-19 and with the new physical distancing rules.

For this reason, security protocols have been completely changed on our aeroplanes and at hubs such as the Munich Airport (MUC), in order to ensure the well-being of passengers, crew and ground personnel. More details: www.munich-airport.com/traveladvice

New biometric checks use cutting-edge technology to recognise passengers without the need for fingerprinting or close contact, and even with face masks covering people’s noses and mouths*.

Queue flow times at security checks have been minimised, making Munich Airport a safe environment in every respect.

Several Covid testing areas have been created within the airport in order to facilitate the necessary procedures to get in and out of countries both within and outside the EU. For returning passengers, there’s a Test Centre in the non-public area in Terminal 2 (close to the luggage carousels and Gate G32), whereas for passengers in international transit (non-Schengen), there’s a Test Centre in Terminal 2 (near Gate H17).

You can also take a voluntary Covid test even if you’re not flying from/to Munich by registering at —> airportsbavaria.lifecodexx.com and going to the Test Centre in the public area of the airport.
